Is Ghostwriting a Trick or Treat?

We’ll find out during our event this week.

Speaking of mysterious beasts, the LinkedIn Algo loves hot takes.

I posted one, not understanding nearly how passionate everyone would be about it.

I was feeling frustrated. At two different events this year, I’ve seen individuals present sessions where they talk about ghostwriting. But in a very inauthentic way.

The sessions were titled something like “How I Grew My LinkedIn Audience from 0 to 1M”...

There was some good advice in there. But the presentations were littered with advice like “hire this person, and you won’t even have to think about it.”

Yuck.

So, that’s what led me to this post. And rightfully so, I got a lot of pushback…

Most of these, I actually agreed with. The word ghostwriting represents a massive spectrum. There’s the bad—highlighted above. And there’s the good—spending time with the person being represented and just helping translate their thoughts.

Hell, we use ghostwriting at The Juice. It is not for me, but for the team that wants to intentionally try to better translate their thoughts and experience into social content. And it works.

And I received a lot of people who agreed…

Whether people agreed, disagreed, or did a little of both. This was clearly a topic that people are passionate about. So we’re going to dig in with the experts. We’re gathering three of the best ghostwriters and marketers we know to talk about the good, the bad, and the downright spooky of ghostwriting.

We’ll talk tactically about:

And much, much more.

RSVP now to join the event, share your own perspective, and learn a little along the way.
