We are bookending your week, every week with a couple of podcast episodes that we hope can provide insights on how to be a better marketer, sales pro, or operator in your B2B company.
There’s been no hotter topic in B2B than community builder. I spent some time at High Alpha this week and got to be in the same room with a bunch of marketers for Marketing Flight School. There were a bunch of great ideas shared and awesome fireside chats. I’m not sure one conversation went by without the topic of community coming up at some level. If you are interested in learning more about how to think about community building we dropped an episode inspired by an article from 6sense.
I’ve been focused on the promotion of the individual creator this year. Yeah I know I kind of had to be because we launch a product around this idea, but that doesn’t mean I am still not done learning more. I wanted to keep the momentum going around this trend so tapped one of the best marketers on the shoulder in my network to talk more about it.
I’m closing out this week by dropping an episode where I’m joined by Holly Enneking from Lev. She’s a marketing leader at a services based company and thought she might have an interesting perspective about how we should think about marketing people over products.
I’m glad my instincts were right. I learned a ton from her.
In this episode we cover:
- Services led marketing vs. product marketing: how to think about the similarities and differences and identify opportunities
- Highlighting your people: why the individuals at your company with subject matter experts are your secret sauce and how to highlight them to win hearts and minds
- Content culture: how to get your extended team to rally around content
